Anyway, I have a couple of questions -
Regarding sending Reiki to a list of people, whether it is a Sunday Share list of Reiki practitioners, or a list of people who have just requested it for various troubles, does it "dilute" the Reiki if one is sending to the list, with the intent that the energy go to help each person as they need it most?
And how much leeway does one have when sending Reiki? Can one send Reiki intending that it continue past the actual treatment length? I know some do this with a crystal grid, but what about just sending a treatment via distance?
I know someone who needs much more Reiki than I can send alone - she could use a dose every hour, no joke. Could one send with an intention like that - that the recipient receive a continuing dose of Reiki energy throughout the day, on the hour?
And, finally, since I'm low energy on the health side, will Reiki I send be less strong? I have an appointment to send distance Reiki tonight, and would like to be able to do a good job - any suggestions?
Peace.

Great questions. My Reiki teach teacher (and those materials I've read) gave me the impression that when one did distant healing, the practitioner might often use a photograph or if none was available, a teddy bear or a doll as a stand-in for the person needing the treatment.
I had never really thought about "programming myself," so to speak, to send Reiki automatically while I was doing something else and not even thinking of the person or the treatment at the time.
Off hand, I'm not sure this would work because at the scheduled times, my mind would likely be focused on other things rather than stepping out of the way so energy could flow. It will be interesting to see whether a long-term practitioner comments on this post.

Thank you, Sun Singer, and welcome.
I have started using a pillow for a stand-in because holding my hands over air was making my arms tired :)
I think you have a point about the programming, though I think it might be more requesting the Reiki to go at specified times, rather than needing my assistance each "boost."
Good to hear from you here, Malcolm.
Hello friends. In Brett Bevell's newest book, Reiki for Spiritual Awakening, he uses the higher self to send Reiki to issues/people. I have been doing this for about 2 months now, and enthusiastically recommend it! My higher self sends the Reiki while I am busy doing other things. As far as I can tell, I can send it to unlimited beings/situations.....so do check out his book with these marvellous techniques. I can't recommend it enough. It's changing the way I use Reiki profoundly. Espavo, Carolyn
